National Navigation Award Scheme Courses
  
Not confident in your navigation? Then why not attend a two day National Navigation Award Scheme course? Or, if you prefer, a one day introduction to navigation.

 

There are many benefits to attending such a course:

You will expand your horizons

Your safety in the outdoors will improve

You will develop confidence in challenging terrain

Enjoyment will be increased

You will gain an understanding of just what a map can do for you.

 

Courses are run at a pace to suit your individual needs. There will be ample time devoted to practicing what you have learned over the two days.

As a "winding down" exercise, the de-brief will take place in the pub!

Map setting

Compass skills

Contour interpretation

Route planning

Relocation techniques

Pacing and timing

Aiming off

Attack points

Access rights and responsibilities

Country code

Emergency procedures.

Price of course is £75.00 per person. Discount available to groups of four or more. Price includes badge and certificate. 

Maps etc. will be provided.

Maximum of six candidates per course.
